Size: 2.5 gallon batch
Grains
- 1 1/2 lb Maris Otter
- 1/2 lb 50-60L Crystal
- 1/4 lb English Brown
- 1/4 Flaked Barley
Hops: 1 oz Kent Golding
Yeast: Dry Windsor
Beer Making Process
45 minutes @ 155F
Boiling Hops (at beginning of boil)
- 1/2 oz Kent Golding
Finishing Hops (last 15 minutes)
- 1/2 oz Kent Golding
Gravity
OG: 1.052
FG: 1.019
5 weeks in primary. 2 weeks in bottle. 1 week in fridge.
Tasting Notes:
I think the 5 weeks in the primary made a big difference. It was delicious. Every bottle I gave out was gone before I could pop another. The only issue was carbonation. I think I slightly under-carbed and there wasn’t a significant head on the beer. The picture above is the last of the bunch which I suspect I didn’t mix and/or add enough carbonating sugar.
